CHEVROLET CORVETTE STINGRAY C2のご紹介です。シボレー・コルベットは、1954年のC1モデルの初登場から積極的にレースに参戦しアメリカン・モータースポーツの象徴として語られています。ベースとなったプロトタイプ・レーサーから名を取りスティングレイ（アカエイ）と呼ばれ、エッジの利いたデザインは現代の街中でも際立っています。このC2から投入された新設計のラダーフレーム構造はシャシーバランスも向上させ、レースマシンとしても優秀な成績を残し、Grand Sport仕様はロジャー・ペンスキー、AJフォイト、ジム・ホールらによってドライブされ、1967年にはルマン24時間レースにも参戦しています。標準のスモールブロック327エンジンは350hpを発生、当時としては驚異的な250km/hの最高速をマークしました。こちらの1966年型C2スティングレイは、4輪ディスクブレーキ、4速ハーストシフター、レザーシート、ウッドステアリングを装備、コンバーチブルトップは完全レストア済みです。またエンジンは5.7Lにスープアップされていますので、60年代のV8サウンドと共にトルクフルな走りを楽しんでいただけることでしょう。只今青山ショールームにて展示中ですので是非一度ご覧になってください！

Introducing CHEVROLET CORVETTE STINGRAY C2. Chevrolet Corvette has actively took part in motor racing since C1’s debut in 1954, and talked as the symbol of American motorsport. Took the name STINGRAY from the based prototype racer, the edgey design stands out even in the modern streets. Newly designed ladder frame structure has improved the chassis balance that resulted her to be an excellent race machine. Grand sport version has been driven by Roger Penske, AJ Foyt, Jim Hall and others, and even competed in Le Mans 24 hours in 1967. Standard small block 327 engine generates 350hp and marked 250km/h which was quite incredible in those days. This 1966 C2 Stingray is equipped with 4wheel disk brake, 4speed hurst shifter, leather seats, wood steering wheel, and fully restored convertible top. Also engine has been souped up to 5.7L so you can enjoy torqueful drive with the V8 sound of the sixties. Now showed at Aoyama showroom so please come and have a look!
