McLaren MP4-12C のご紹介です。名車『F1』のコンセプトを継承した新作はパワーユニットも自社で開発され、V8 の3.8L ツインターボエンジンはNAユニットのような8500rpmを実現、600psオーバーの実力を持っています。トランスミッションは2ペダル式パドルタイプを採用、デュアルクラッチ構造の7段SSGは待ち時間なしのシフト操作が可能になっているそうです。バスタブ構造のモノコックはCarbon MonoCellと言われフォーミュラ1と同様のワンピース設計で製造、約80kgという脅威の軽さを実現し、このクルマがMcLaren製でF1クォリティだと証明しています。軽量化はすべてのデザインに最優先されたようで、随所に性能の高さを感じさせてくれます。エアブレーキを兼ねたリヤウィングや鋳鉄製ブレーキディスクまでも市販されている過去最高の軽量で構成されています。インテリアのデザインはドライバーズシートがなるべく中央に来るよう設計されており、サスペンションの左右ダンパーは連結され、しなやかで追従性の高いバランスの取れたセッティングでソフトからハードまで電子制御コントロール調整付きダンパーシステムなど、McLaren F1 の思想が息づいていますね。今からデビューが本当に楽しみな１台です。

This latest release succeeding the concept of great “F1” road car, carries self developed 3.8L V8 twinturbo powerunit, realizing NA-like 8500rpm putting over 600ps out. 2 pedal type paddle shifter, dual clutch 7 speed SSG with no shift lag. Bath tub type monocoque called Carbon MonoCell which is made with same structure with Formula 1, only weighing 80kgs, means that this car is Formula 1 quality. Lightness was top of all designing concept, you feel max performance everywhere. Every parts were made lightest in history from rear wing also serving as air brake to mold casted brake disks. Interior is designed to let driver to sit in the center as much as possible, left and right dampers are linked to make flexible and road catching cornering balance.
