Concorso Italiano
As the name suggests, this concours d’elegance focuses on Italian machinery. This year’s edition is held at a brand new location; the Marina Airport, some 10 miles north of Monterey. In addition to the annual ‘Celebration of Italian Style’, the 2008 edition celebrates ’45 years of Lamborghini’, ’40 years of the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona’ and the ‘Creations of Designer Marcello Gandini’. One of the absolute highlights will no doubt the presence of the very first Lamborghini, the unique 350 GTV.
In addition to the cars displayed on the show field, there are numerous corrals for interesting Italian and non-Italian vehicles. This event is highly recommended for fans of exotic machinery and supercars.

毎年恒例の『Pebble Beach Week』が8/15?17で開催されます。今年のテーマがPORSCHEの『Monterey Historic Automobile Races』 、宝玉のクルマたちのコンクール『Pebble Beach Tour d’Elegance』、イタリアンなエキゾチックカーの祭典『Concorso Italiano』、その他にも『RM Auctions』、『Gooding Pebble Beach Auction』などのクラッシックカーオークションが開催されます。これだけの著名なクラッシックカーが集合するイベントとしては世界最大規模ですね。注目はやはりPORSCHEがテーマの『Monterey Historic Automobile Races』 ですね。往年のスペシャルマシンたちが本気バトルを繰り広げるレースはタイムスリップしたかのような錯覚になります。詳細はＨＰをご覧ください。

Annual “Pebble Beach Week” will be held in 15-17 August. This year’s themes are “Monterey Historic Automobile Races” by Porsche, “Pebble Beach Tour d’Elegance” the contest of treasurous cars, “Concorso Italiano” the festival of Italian exotic cars, and classic car auctions of “RM Auctions”, “Gooding Pebble Beach Auction” will be held. This event is the world’s biggest to assemble this much famous classic cars. The one worth to watch is “Monterey Historic Automobile Races”. 昨日の続きでアップします。毎年自動車メーカーのテーマがあるのですが2004年はFerrariでしたので、世界中から素晴らしいコンディションの跳ね馬たちが集まっていました！ぺブルビーチの綺麗な芝生のグリーンがなんとも言えない高級感タップリですね（＾0＾）

つい先日フェラーリ60周年記念イベントにてコンクール部門総合優勝になったFerrari 330 P4です。こんな凄いコレクションを間近で観れるとは、この雰囲気のオープンさがオーナーの寛大な優しさと本当にクルマを愛していると感じました。それにしても本当に美しいスタイリングで惚れ惚れします！

このほかにはF1マシンも展示されていました。すべて実走行可能なコンディションなのには驚きます。次回はRMコンクールの模様をアップしたいと思います。まだまだFerrari Worldが続きます♪この頃のレーシングカー＆スポーツカーは本当に美しいスタイリングで魅了されます。来年はまだぺブルビーチに行きたいと思います。
